Rotten Tomatoes page on original: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/lat_den_ratte_komma_in/

I stumbled onto a listing of oncoming films showing a remake is on the way sometime in 2010, and my level of anticipation is tepid. The original film had a nice balance of being methodical and interesting things happening, and Hollywood tends to be lopsided in tackling their stories. Introducing the story to a broader audience is a good thing, though I have to commend the original for depicting the vampire powers right and not making the powers the focus. As the story goes, it's very dark and macabre as it depicts the vampire as merely another predator in the examination of the worst aspects of the human soul. There was one shot which I thought could have been done without, but I wonder if Hollywood would go too far in downplaying or hamming up certain aspects while fixating too mush on the wrong things. We'll never know till it comes out, maybe the remake will totally kick ass and drive a stake through Twilight's heart (not likely but I can dream).

President Camacho: Sh*t. I know sh*t's bad right now, with all that starving bullsh*t, and the dust storms, and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings. But I got a solution.

South Carolina Representative # 2: Yeah, I got a solution, you're a dick! South Carolina, what's up!
